Undercover detectives assigned to the department’s eight precincts charged 40 persons this week with mostly drug and prostitution offenses as the result of investigations in various Nashville neighborhoods.
West Precinct detectives charged 2 persons as the result of investigations on Charlotte Pike, Alta Loma Road, White Bridge Road, and Robertson Road. Detectives seized 40.7 grams of heroin, one gram of marijuana, 20 pills, ten guns, and $26,598 cash.
Hermitage Precinct detectives charged 15 persons as the result of investigations on Stewarts Ferry Pike, Lebanon Pike, Jackson Downs Boulevard, Briley Parkway, and Shute Lane. Detectives seized 64 pills, 16 grams of marijuana, two grams of methamphetamine, 17 grams of cocaine, two grams of heroin, one vehicle, one gun and $835 cash.
North Precinct detectives charged 10 persons as the result of investigations on Brick Church Pike, Trinity Lane, Buchanan Street, Westchester Drive, Youngs Lane, Jefferson Street, 16th Avenue North, and Cockrill Street. Detectives seized 16.1 grams of cocaine, three grams of heroin, 1.6 grams of marijuana, and one gun.
Madison Precinct detectives charged 5 persons as the result of investigations on Donald Drive, Hospital Drive, and 17th Avenue North. Detectives seized two grams of methamphetamine, five grams of marijuana, and five guns.
East Precinct detectives charged 5 persons as the result of investigations on Dickerson Pike, Trinity Lane, Gallatin Pike, and Joyce Lane. Detectives seized 15 grams of marijuana, 1.5 grams of heroin, 24 oxymorphone pills, 1.5 Suboxone pills, and one gun.
Central Precinct detectives charged 3 persons as the result of investigations on Lafayette Street, Middleton Street, and Ewing Avenue.
Detectives from the Midtown Hills and South Precincts were on special assignment this week related to crime hotspots.
