The public’s assistance is being sought to identify the hit and run driver of a white car, believed to be a Dodge Challenger, that Saturday around 11 p.m. struck pedestrian Tomas Juarez-Sunun, 23, as he was crossing Gallatin Pike at Due West Avenue in Madison.
Juarez-Sunun was running across the roadway in an attempt to reach the Mapco, 1516 Gallatin Pike S., when he was struck by the car. The driver fled the scene without stopping. Juarez-Sunun was transported to Skyline Medical Center where he died. There was no evidence of alcohol involvement on the part of Juarez-Sunun.
The vehicle (surveillance photo attached) will have front end damage and possibly damage to the windshield.

There is not a crosswalk at this location and the car was traveling through the intersection with a green light.
