Violent Crimes/Robbery Unit detectives Wednesday night arrested the man accused of firing shots inside the Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant at 2910 Clarksville Pike during a holdup last week.
Dontez Lewis, 24, was taken into custody after coming out of a home on Delta Avenue and surrendering to awaiting detectives. He is charged with the armed robberies of the KFC on the afternoon of May 6 and the Mapco convenience store at 712 Main Street later that day.
Lewis is accused of firing at least two rounds in the KFC as employees hid in the office. A judicial commissioner set his bond at $80,000 on the two counts of aggravated robbery.
