Acting on information that they developed in their search for armed robbery suspect Zachary Hubbard, Hermitage Precinct Flex officers located him Monday evening panhandling outside Dollar General, 4491 Lebanon Pike, where they took him into custody.
Hubbard, 26, is charged with aggravated robbery, kidnapping, and aggravated assault for the December 4 hold-up of the Mapco at 710 Stewarts Ferry Pike.
In this case, Hubbard is alleged to have placed a knife to a customer’s neck outside the store and forced her inside where he demanded and received money from the clerk. Hubbard, who is homeless, is also charged with aggravated robbery for the December 10th hold-up at Mapco, 440 Harding Place. Hubbard, who has previous convictions for facilitating robbery and evading arrest in Knox County, is being held in lieu of $200,000 bond.
The investigation continues into Hubbard’s involvement in additional robberies.
