Specialized Investigations Division TITANS detectives a short time ago arrested William Hope, 19, on a charge of attempted murder in connection with gunfire shot into a home on Del Sol Drive on February 12 that wounded the 35-year-old male resident in the hip.
This afternoon, a car in which Hope was believed to have been riding was followed from Nashville to a fast-food restaurant in Lebanon where he was taken into custody without incident.
Hope is the second man to be charged in this case. Jordan Worthington, also 19, was taken into custody on February 14 during a coordinated traffic stop at Tulip Grove Road and Central Pike in Hermitage. A .40 caliber semi-automatic pistol was recovered from Worthington's car.
The victim in the Del Sol Drive case was shot while in his bedroom after yelling through the window at persons who were lurking around his pickup truck parked in the driveway.
In addition to attempted criminal homicide, Hope, like Worthington, is also being charged with attempted vehicle burglary, felony reckless endangerment, and two counts of aggravated assault (due to the victim's wife and young child being in the bedroom with him when the shots were fired).
