Specialized Investigations Division detectives Thursday afternoon arrested Vontrell McKethan, 23, on charges of aggravated robbery, theft of a firearm, and felon in possession of a gun in connection with the October 30th wounding of a man at 470 Arbor Ridge Drive.
The Non-Lethal Shooting Unit identified McKethan as the person who shot a 21-year-old man during an alleged narcotics transaction. McKethan retrieved a gun from the passenger side of the vehicle and demanded the victim’s belongings. A struggle ensued and the victim was shot in the calf. The gun was reported stolen.
McKethan has prior felony convictions for aggravated robbery, auto burglary, and theft of property in Sumner County. He is being held on $300,000 bond.
