A 20-year-old is free on a $35,000 bond this morning after he was arrested yesterday during a traffic stop by TITANS Unit detectives for his involvement in the September 3 non-lethal shooting at Fallbrook Apartments on Dellway Villa Road. Monterio Sanford was identified as one of the suspects that began firing following a verbal altercation within the apartment complex.
A 41-year-old man, who admitted to firing back at the suspects in self-defense, was struck in the hand.
Sanford admitted to shooting his pistol during the exchange of gunfire in an interview last night with detectives. He is charged with felony reckless endangerment.
