MNPD detectives, officers and FBI agents a short time ago concluded their search of property in Hickman County for evidence related to the 2003 disappearance of 13-year-old Tabitha Tuders. While unable to definitively confirm at present that Tabitha was on the property on Back Piney Road in Bon Aqua 17 years ago, the investigative team has not ruled out that possibility.
Recent information, coupled with investigative leads from years ago, led to the execution of a search warrant on the property Wednesday and today.
Tabitha was reported missing on the evening of April 29, 2003. She is believed to have left her 1312 Lillian Street home sometime after 7:30 a.m. to catch a school bus at the nearby intersection of 14th and Boscobel Streets. She did not board the bus that day and did not attend school.
The investigation into Tabitha’s disappearance remains open and active. Reward money totaling more than $50,000 is offered for information leading to the recovery of Tabitha and the prosecution of those involved in her disappearance.
