Outstanding work by TITANS Unit detectives led to last night's arrest of three convicted felons and a teenager found with several guns, cocaine and heroin inside a GMC Yukon that fled from Creekwood Drive in Madison.
A traffic stop was attempted on the Yukon, but it fled to the area of Cliff Drive where it became disabled. Four occupants exited the Yukon and fled on foot before detectives took them into custody.
Four handguns, including one equipped with a switch making it fully automatic, were in the flight path of the suspects. A rifle was recovered from the backseat of the Yukon.
A backpack along the flight path was also recovered which contained baggies of cocaine and heroin, as well as a digital scale. Marijuana was also located within the Yukon.
Djuan Bowers, 25, a convicted felon who was on federal probation at the time of last night's arrest, was the driver of the Yukon. He was charged with being a felon in possession of a weapon, drug possession, driving on a suspended license, evading arrest and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. He remains jailed today on $32,000 bond.
Roderick Wren Jr., 21, was charged with two counts of being a felon in possession of a weapon, one count of unlawful weapon possession, possession of key fob equipment, drug paraphernalia and evading arrest. He was released on $48,000 bond set by a judicial commissioner.
Tony Hutcherson, 32, was charged with being a felon in possession of a weapon. He was released on $5,000 bond set by a judicial commissioner.
The 17-year-old was charged in Juvenile Court with juvenile handgun possession, drug possession, evading arrest and weapon possession during a dangerous felony.
