A Street Racer Initiative overnight resulted in the arrest of three teenage girls who fled from police during apparent car meetups. With assistance from THP Aviation, a white Ford Mustang was observed performing dangerous driving stunts in a parking lot on Trousdale Drive.
The Mustang fled from two attempted traffic stops before stopping at a nearby gas station. The driver, Melanie Serrano Sanabria, 19, of Gallatin, and her two passengers, Gabriela Lopez-Naranjo, 18, and Camila Paolini-Jerez, 19, were taken into custody.
Alcohol was recovered from inside the Mustang.
Sanabria was charged with inciting a riot, not having a driver’s license, unlawful alcohol possession, and two counts of evading arrest. She remains jailed this morning on $38,000 bond.
Lopez-Naranjo and Paolini-Jerez were both charged with inciting a riot and unlawful alcohol possession. Paolini-Jerez had an outstanding domestic assault charge from May 2024.
Lopez-Naranjo remains jailed on $6,000 bond and Paolini-Jerez is jailed on a $10,000 bond.
The MNPD Traffic Division is committed to continuing its investigations into street racer groups that are causing damage and harm through their dangerous driving.
