In two separate incidents, TITANS (The Investigative Team Addressing Neighborhood Shootings) Unit detectives Thursday night arrested four men, including one wanted on nine outstanding warrants, and recovered three guns, methamphetamine, and cocaine.
In the first case, detectives spotted a Chrysler 300 with a stolen license plate traveling on Brick Church Pike. The driver, Joshua Wilson, 33, fled at a high rate of speed. Spike strips were successfully deployed and he and his passenger, Dylan Wilson, 28, fled on foot. Both were quickly apprehended. Detectives recovered two handguns, 13 grams of meth, and 199 grams of marijuana.
At the time of his arrest, Dylan Wilson was wanted on nine outstanding warrants charging him with six counts of failure to appear, two counts of vehicle theft, and theft. In addition to the outstanding warrants, he is now charged with felon in possession of a gun, gun possession during the commission of a dangerous felony, and felony drug possession. Dylan Wilson had been free on $36,000 bond after his January arrest for attempted aggravated burglary, four counts of burglary of a motor vehicle, and evading arrest. He remains jailed on $105,000 bond.
Joshua Wilson is charged with felon in possession of a gun, evading arrest, felony marijuana possession, and gun possession during the commission of a dangerous felony. He has felony convictions that include robbery, aggravated burglary, and aggravated assault in Sumner, Cheatham, and Davidson Counties. Joshua Wilson is jailed on $90,000 bond.
In the second case, detectives saw a Nissan Rogue with a temp tag that was registered to a different vehicle. The driver, Marvell Bright, 20, fled and spike strips were, again, successfully deployed. The SUV came to a stop on Dickerson Pike near Hancock Street. Bright and his passenger, Kejuan Winters, 19, ran from the vehicle but were taken into custody a short time later. Detectives recovered one pistol, 18.5 grams of cocaine, and three small baggies of marijuana.
Winters is charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony, evading arrest, and felony cocaine & marijuana possession. He remains jailed on $80,000 bond. Bright is charged with evading arrest and felony cocaine possession. He is free on $40,000 bond.
