Update: April 6, 2023, The U.S. Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force in Bowling Green, Kentucky, today arrested fugitive Sadia Bonilla-Gomez, 23, on a Nashville grand jury indictment charging her with 2 counts of vehicular homicide by intoxication, vehicular assault, and two counts of aggravated child abuse. She will be returned to Nashville in the near future. Her co-defendant, Jose Damaso-Hernandez, 26, was returned from Bowling Green and booked into a Nashville jail on January 31. He is being held in lieu of $300,000 bond.
Traffic Unit Investigators are working to locate two suspects with outstanding warrants who were involved in the fatal August 2020 crash that killed Dalton Williams and Samantha Peevyhouse, of Centerville, on Bell Road near Brook View Estates Drive.
Jose Damaso-Hernandez, now 25, was driving a Ford F-150 pickup truck eastbound on Bell Road when he went into the opposing lane of traffic and hit a Scion sedan head on. He and his passenger, Sadia Bonilla-Gomez, now 22, sustained life-threatening injuries.
Williams and Peevyhouse, the occupants of the Scion, were pronounced dead at the scene.
Damaso-Hernandez also had a child in the truck at the time of the crash that was not properly secured. The child had minor cuts from the crash.
Damaso-Hernandez has six outstanding grand jury indictments for two counts of vehicular homicide by intoxication, vehicular assault, two counts of aggravated child abuse, and possession of cocaine.
Bonilla-Gomez also has six outstanding warrants for two counts of vehicular homicide by intoxication, vehicular assault, two counts of aggravated child abuse, and an unrelated domestic assault charge.
Efforts to locate the two following their release from the hospital have remained unsuccessful, but both are believed to still be in the Nashville/Middle Tennessee area. The U.S. Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force is assisting in attempting to locate the couple.
