The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department’s Homicide Unit is asking for assistance in locating murder suspect Trayvon Palmer, 32, who is wanted for the April 20, 2024, fatal shooting of Los Angeles rapper Christopher Cheeks outside a recording studio in Nashville’s Midtown area. Palmer is currently believed to be in the Los Angeles area and is last known to have lived in Riverside. He is wanted on a multi-count indictment charging him with first-degree murder, robbery and gun offenses.
The investigation shows Cheeks, 32, had arrived in an alleyway adjacent to the recording studio with a group of friends when three men, one of whom is alleged to have been Palmer, began interacting with them. The three men ultimately tried to rob Cheeks and friends, fatally shooting him in the process. One of Cheeks’ friends was wounded.
The Nashville Police Department’s investigation led to the arrests of the two other suspects. Amir Carroll, 20, was arrested in Nashville in February. Adrian Cameron Jr., 20, was arrested in Los Angeles in May. Both remain jailed in Nashville on first-degree murder charges.
Anyone seeing Trayvon Palmer or knowing his whereabouts is asked to contact local law enforcement or the United States Marshal’s Service.
