Chief John Drake today announced the promotion of 12 MNPD members to new supervisory roles effective tomorrow to fill existing vacancies in the Community Services Bureau.
Six sergeants are being promoted to rank of lieutenant. They are:
- Will Admundson, a 10-year MNPD veteran who will be assigned to the Violent Crimes Division. Admundson holds a Bachelor’s Degree from MTSU.
- Joshua Black, a 17-year MNPD veteran who will lead the East Precinct’s overnight shift. Black holds a Bachelor’s Degree from American Public University.
- Brion Delap, a 28-year MNPD veteran who will lead the East Precinct’s evening shift. Delap holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Regents College.
- Roy McElwee, a 10-year MNPD veteran who will lead the North Precinct’s evening shift.
- Toney Turner, a 27-year MNPD veteran who will lead the South Precinct’s day shift.
- Chris Upchurch, a 24-year MNPD veteran who will lead the Hermitage Precinct’s evening shift. Upchurch holds a Bachelor’s Degree from MTSU.
Six officers are being promoted to rank of sergeant. They are:
- Yunus Adak, a 5-year MNPD veteran who will be a supervisor on the Madison Precinct’s evening shift. Adak holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville.
- Victor Alexander Jr., a 9-year MNPD veteran who will be a supervisor on the North Precinct’s day shift. Alexander holds a Bachelor’s Degree from TSU.
- Marcus Darden, a 6-year MNPD veteran who will be a supervisor on the North Precinct’s evening shift. Darden holds a Bachelor’s Degree from DeVry University.
- Michael Mihajlov, a 9-year MNPD veteran who will be a supervisor on the Hermitage Precinct’s day shift. Mihajlov holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Ferris State University.
- Benny Pittman, a 6-year MNPD veteran who will be a supervisor on the North Precinct’s overnight shift. Pittman holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Florida State University.
- Douglas Sykes, a 7-year MNPD veteran who will be a supervisor on the North Precinct’s overnight shift. Sykes holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Austin Peay State University.
