The Metro Nashville Police Department’s continuing undercover narcotics investigation downtown led to Wednesday’s arrests of two men for selling fentanyl-laced cocaine.
After Brian K. Smith Jr., 60, and William D. Terry, 55, were observed together making drug transactions on Korean Veterans Boulevard near 3rd Avenue South, they were taken into custody. Terry and Smith were in possession of 14.2 grams of a white, rock substance which tested positive for both cocaine and fentanyl. Terry’s 2018 Nissan Titan pickup truck and $881 cash were also seized.
Smith and Terry are each charged with possession of cocaine and fentanyl for resale and conspiracy to distribute both drugs. Smith is being held in lieu of $200,000 bond. Terry is being held in lieu of $250,000 bond.
This investigation is being led by the Specialized Investigations Division with assistance from Central Precinct officers.
