Investigation by Non-Lethal Shooting Unit detectives resulted in today’s early morning arrest of two men, Jalan Armstrong, 27, and Antoine Anderson, 39, for the May 8 shooting of a 45-year-old man during an armed robbery in the Shell parking lot at 1190 Gallatin Pike.
Officers responded at 11 p.m. and found the victim with a serious gunshot wound to his upper arm. Officers applied a tourniquet and packed the wound in order to stop the bleeding.
During an interview, Armstrong admitted to the robbery. He told detectives that the victim owed him money. The victim was shot after he struggled with Armstrong over the gun. Anderson drove Armstrong to and from the location.
Both men are charged with especially aggravated robbery and are each being held on $75,000 bond.
