The bicyclist killed in Wednesday night’s hit and run crash on Bell Road outside the Preakness Apartment complex has been identified as Larissa Houston, 23, of Nashville. The preliminary investigation indicates Houston was crossing Bell Road from south to north on an electric bicycle when she was struck by a dark colored sedan traveling westbound.
The sedan fled at a high rate of speed, running several red lights along the way. It was last seen near the I-24 and Bell Road interchange.
Houston was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where she died.
