Update: Thanks to a tip to Crime Stoppers, Jaqueline Mangrum and the five children were located today on Carter Street in Nashville. Mangrum is in custody on the bench warrant from Criminal Court. The children were unharmed and will be placed into appropriate care by the Department of Children’s Services.
Youth Services detectives are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a Nashville mother and her five children who are believed to be together despite a court order prohibiting such.
Jaqueline Mangrum, 38, is presently charged in a July 2021 case with one count of aggravated child abuse and four counts of aggravated child endangerment. In proceedings last September, Criminal Court Judge Mark Fishburn ordered that if Mangrum posted bond, she was to have no contact with her children unless it was through court approved supervision. Youth Services detectives have learned that Mangrum picked up the children from an out of county relative in January and has not been heard from since. Authorities consider the children to be endangered.
Bench warrants for Mangrum’s arrest were issued February 16 charging her with failure to appear in court in the child endangerment case as well as other criminal cases for which she was originally arrested in 2019 and 2020.
Anyone seeing Jaqueline Mangrum or her children, Ricky Rush, age 11, Julien Mangrum, age 10, Madelyn Mangrum, age 5, Kenslye Sterna, age 7, and Syprena McEwen, age 6, is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463. Mangrum is known to frequent low budget hotels/motels.
