Hi I’m Officer Cecilia Gomez and I have been with Metro for over 5 years. I was assigned to the Madison Precinct on B Patrol and then I was in Community Affairs in Madison. I worked in the Background and Recruitment Unit until I got transferred to the Office of Community Outreach and Partnerships Unit where I am in charge of the El Protector Program.

I have never wanted to be a police officer due to the conception of officers from my home country (Argentina) but I saw officers in Metro were completely different.

I worked as a civilian with different officers in trafficking cases and I saw the need for female bilingual officers and that is why I decided to join the Metro Nashville Police Department.
