Julie Nabors

Growing up, my mom’s best friend was police officer with the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department. My mom loved volunteering with her at the Youth Camp that is run through the F.O.P. here in Nashville. For that reason, I grew up going to the F.O.P. camp and helping as a junior counselor. I eventually decided to join the MNPD myself in 2015, and I am so glad I did. While it has had its challenges, this career has given me so much, and I’m so thankful for the direction my life has taken because of it. I started my career in patrol, like every new academy graduate does, but I eventually was able to join a flex team, and I loved developing camaraderie with my team while serving the city of Nashville. I was promoted to sergeant in 2021, and shortly after I came to the Recruitment Unit. I am thrilled to be here now, and I’m excited to see all the ways I can help to grow this department while assisting a new generation of police officers to develop their passion for serving here at the MNPD.
