Chief Steve Anderson today announced the promotions of two sergeants to the rank of lieutenant effective Saturday to fill existing precinct vacancies.
Sergeant Michael Buchanan, an 11-year MNPD veteran presently assigned to the Central Precinct, will lead the North Precinct’s day shift. Buchanan is currently working on his Bachelor’s Degree through Bethel University.
Sergeant Sean Richmond, a 10-year-MNPD veteran presently assigned to the Professional Standards Division, will lead the Madison Precinct’s evening shift. Richmond holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Cincinnati and a Master’s Degree from Argosy University.
