A continuing concerted precision policing effort by detectives assigned to a special robbery initiative led to the arrest of two men, Marcus Williams, 30, and Marcellous Deshawn Burns, 28, responsible for robberies at multiple Mapco locations over the last several weeks.
Williams was charged with four counts of aggravated robbery from incidents at the Gallatin Pike Mapco as well as the 4805 Trousdale Drive, 1500 Lebanon Pike and 585 Stewarts Ferry Pike locations. Detectives were able to identify Williams through surveillance videos at each location where he is seen wearing a Russian style hat during the robberies. Williams was served with 11 outstanding warrants at the time of his arrest last night. He is currently being held without bond pending a hearing in general sessions court.
Burns, Williams’ accomplice in two of the robberies, was charged with two counts of robbery and had one outstanding warrant. He is currently being held on a $210,000 bond.
