Zach Richardson, the “urban shepherd” of Nashville Chew Crew leads his flocks of sheep across difficult to manage and mow regions of Nashville. If you have seen sheep grazing sloped river fronts, historic places, or even highway edges there is a good chance it is the Chew Crew!
Samuel Starr, of Starr Livestock Co in Bells Bend, will discuss his sheep and goat management system. You’ll gain an understanding of how livestock grazing can minimize their impact on the environment, how many lambs have been born in the Bend in the past few years, and learn what to ask for when buying meat.
