An interactive program will share the wonders of the Ruby-throated Hummingbird as through research and the experiences of the presenters. The banding projects the presenters pursue will also be explained as to their relevance of understanding and protecting these gems on the wing.
Presenters:
Amy Wilms is a Master Bander of songbirds, Saw-whet Owls and Ruby-throated Hummingbird. She has been banding hummingbirds for close to a decade, most frequently on the front porch of her former home.
Dr. Lina Rafai is with the Biology Department at Indiana University (Kokomo, IN) in the biology department.
Dr. Carl Wilms is a retired middle school science teacher and Co-manager (with Amy) of the Mary Gray Bird Sanctuary.
