Lake Watauga Walking Loop Closure
Beginning Monday, October 20th a portion of the walking loop around Lake Watauga in Centennial Park (see purple areas) will be closed until the end of October, weather permitting. The portion of the walking loop next to the Parthenon will remain open during this time.
Parking Closures at Centennial Park
The northside of Centennial Park will be closed for construction through Fall 2026. 27th Avenue North will be closed from just north of the Parthenon driveway to just east of the previous entry on Park Plaza (red outline in map above).
28th Avenue North, leading to the sand volleyball pit and the Park Police Office will be open throughout the duration of construction. The Centennial Art Center and its parking lots will remain accessible for the entire duration of construction.
The Sunken Garden and Lake Watauga walking trails will be accessible for most of the construction schedule.
